18 November Documentary: The Garden & African Dinner

Time: 20.00 – 22.00 | Location: Building with the Clock, Generaal Foulkesweg 37

The second event of the Grassroots Science Series is the screening of the documentary ‘The Garden and an other African Dinner. Grassroots Science is collaboration between RUW Foundation, Otherwise and Boerengroep to show and discuss socially driven initiatives that tackle global problems.

From the ashes of the L.A. riots arose a lush, 14-acre community garden, the largest of its kind in the United States. Now bulldozers threaten its future. The Garden is a three times Best Documentary Award winner! After the documentary there is time for discussion.

Before the movie there is the option to join the African dinner! Chef Nelson Ntiamoah will cook his famous red-red dish. Fried red plantain with moderately spiced beans sauce, hosting the finest tropical spices, fish and mushrooms.
